On the 29th April once again Pauline Wrighton gave a talk about her work, which was as outstanding as her last visit three years before. Her talk was illuminating and her workbooks fascinating, we sat with them towards the end of her talk and Pauline answered questions with great generosity.
Her title was ‘The next instalment, three years on.’ and focused on the development of her work and practice since her last visit . She is a retired Head teacher, and for the last 14 years has been developing her artwork with textile and stitch. Pauline holds a City and Guilds level three diploma in stitched textile and embroidery and was a founder member of the Hindolveston Textile group and a member of West Norfolk Artists Association.
For now however she is focusing on more mixed media based work. She has for the last nine years participated annually in the Norfolk and Norwich Open studios scheme and has exhibited throughout Norfolk so keep an eye out for her in the Open Studio Brochure.
Pauline works from a dedicated studio in the garden of her home in Hindolveston and can accommodate about 4 people for a workshop.
We are having her back next year to do a workshop called working the page, about the creation of books for working in. Please feel free to contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org if you would be interested in joining us for this or any other of our talks or workshops.
